#METGALA2015

I’m pretty sure most of you guys have heard about the event Met Gala 2015 which took place on May 5th, 2015 in Metropolitan Museum of Art, Costume Institute New York City. It is one of the most fashionable and long-awaited events of the year. A lot of celebrities, fashion designers, socialites, and business people visit this event. Every year it has its own theme and dress code.

Here is some information about this event from Wikipedia: “The Met Gala, formally called the Costume Institute Gala and also known as the Met Ball, is an annual fundraising gala for the benefit of the Metropolitan Museum of Art's Costume Institute in New York City. It marks the grand opening of the Costume Institute's annual fashion exhibit. Each year's event celebrates the theme of that year's Costume Institute exhibition, and the exhibition sets the tone for the formal dress of the night since guests are expected to choose their fashion to match the theme of the exhibit. Each year the event also has honorary celebrity event day chairpersons.”

This year the theme of the Met Gala is China: Through the Looking Glass. Due to this specific theme you could find a lot of looks in red, white, gold, and black colors with the use of flower prints, dragons, and handmade embroidery. Я думаю, что многие уже слышали о мероприятие Met Gala, которое состоялось 5 Мая 2015 года в Нью-Йорке. Это мероприятие является одним из самых модных и долгожданных событий года. Много знаменитостей, дизайнеров, светских лиц и деловых людей каждый год посещают это мероприятие.

Вот немного информации об этом событии из Википедии: "Мет Гала, формально называется Балом Института костюма (англ. Met Gala или Met Ball). Это мероприятие проводится в музее Метрополитен с 1971 года ежегодно, его иногда называют «Оскаром мира моды». Проводится оно для сбора средств на нужды Института костюма музея. Каждый год вечер состоит из коктейльной вечеринки и более торжественного ужина. Обычно приглашаются звёзды мира моды, шоу-бизнеса, деятели искусств. Каждый год тематика вечера меняется и дресс-код соответствует теме вечера.”

В этом году тема Met Gala "Шепот Китая: сказки Востока в искусстве, кино и моде". В связи с такой тематикой, многие гости вечера выбрали наряды красного, белого, золотого и черных цветов с использованием цветочных принтов, изображений драконов и ручной вышивки.
